The organizing comitee represents the male choir „DelicaTon“ from Freigericht, a town pretty close to the festival venue. When we founded in year 2000, it wasn´t just for purpose to perform uplevel choir music.



We also wanted to assimilate the extraordinary atmosphere of an international competition where you can listen to incredible sounds every once in a while.

There´s no better way to indulge your senses: you can get goose-bumps, watery eyes, or you can freeze on your seat with open mouth. Just soak up the sound and you´re blown away to a place far beyond...

We´ve been to the Choir Olympics in Bremen (Germany), Busan (South Korea) and Linz (Austria), we shared the competitions in Bergen (Norway), Wien (Austria), Truro (England), Tallinn (Estonia) and Wernigerode (Germany) – wherever we roam, we return with tons of inspirations. So we are grateful to share these moments within a choir community, and this is what keeps us going till that point of time.

So that´s why we decided to celebrate our 10th birthday jubilee in 2010 with arranging an international competition: a best possible forum for choirs to enable artistic, cultural and human contributions to each other in order to give back those little somethings you can only find in choral happenings. Let´s get together – come on, come on ... !

We are convinced that this event will take place not only for the participants, but also for the people in this area as a great enrichment in their cultural life.
