1963 – 69: University studies in Uppsala. B.A and M.A degrees in psychology, pedagogy, sociology, musicology and English language.
1969 - 72: Working as a psychologist at the Stockholm University in the field of rehabilitation of disabled people.
1971 – 75: Studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, choral conducting with Eric Ericson.
Appointments as a teacher:
1975 - 2007: Music advisor and conductor at the upper secondary school level in Uppsala.
1979 – 95: Teacher of choir conducting at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm
1977 – 95: Principal Conductor in the Association of Swedish Choirs
