1956- 58: Student of choir conducting at Dr. Hoch`s Konservatorium in Frankfurt/M.
1968 – 72: Studies of choir and orchestra conducting, piano and organ playing, musical form and history of music at the Staatliches Hochschulinstitut für Musik in Mainz.
Teacher and conductor:
1965 – 96: Grammar school teacher in the Leonhard Heid Schule and the Kopernikusschule Freigericht.
1980 – 92: Teacher of choir and score playing at the Dr. Hoch`s Konservatorium in Mainz.
Since 1956: Conductor of 16 choirs (mixed, male and female)
1964 – 92: Founder and conductor of the Chamber Choir “vocal ensemble trageser”
2000 – 2005: Founder and conductor of the Chamber Choir “DelicaTon Freigericht”
Since 1958: Successful participant at numerous choir competitions in Germany and foreign countries.

1956 – 96: Organist at the St. Bartholomäus Kirche in Freigericht – Bernbach
Since 1965: Member of juries at many national and international choir competitions.
Since 2002: Honorary member of the” Hessischer Sängerbund” and of many choirs and musical associations.
1985: Kulturpreis of the Main-Kinzig district.
1995: Bürgermedaille of the municipality of Freigericht.
2000: Order of Merit of the Federal Republik of Germany.
